Questions & Answers

Will I be comfortable at this church?

Absolutely! Our style is casual, so be comfortable. There are some people who worship in suits and ties, and some who worship in jeans and t-shirts. We are just happy to have you stop by and celebrate worship with Leo United Methodist Church.

Is the church welcoming to children?

Leo United Methodist Church believes that children and youth are an important part of our church family. On Sunday mornings we offer Sunday school, provide a nursery during all services, and have a children's message and activity room during our 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM services.

On Wednesday evenings during September - November and January - March, we offer Family Fellowship Dinners, Sonbeams and Sonlights (children's choirs), Guitar ensemble for children, and Kids' Club - a wonderful, active time for children ages 3 years old through 6th grade.

Our C.I.A.'s (4th - 6th grade students)  plan several fun outings a year.

Our student ministries have Jr. & Sr. High Bible studies on Wednesday evenings starting at 5:30 PM. Junior High and Senior High youth groups meet on Sundays. Our youth are also encouraged to actively participate in ministry in our community and beyond. To learn more about our Student Ministries, visit their website.

When do you participate in communion, and can anyone receive communion?

All those who desire a relationship with Christ are welcome at Jesus' table. We celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of every month. Pastor David Heim gives detailed instructions to make you comfortable with our traditions, or if you wish, you may simply watch and pray.

May I meet the Pastor?

After each service, Pastor David Heim greets everyone just outside the sanctuary.
