A good preschool program
is determined by having a knowledgeable, caring staff. We are very
proud of our staff members, who are very dedicated to early childhood
education and the well-being of our students. They teach preschool,
because they really enjoy and care about young children. They are
well trained in Early Childhood education, holding preschool Teaching
Certificates, a CDA, Associate reaching Degrees, Bachelor, or even
Master degrees Education.
The director, Mrs. Richards, holds a Bachelor Degree in Education,
and a Master Degree in Education, with an emphasis on Early Childhood
Education. After teaching first grade in Illinois and Fort Wayne,
she began to teach at the preschool level and, eventually, to direct.
She is very dedicated to the welfare and education of children and
loves the rewards of working with preschool children, as do all of
the of the staff members.
Each year, the staff members attend workshops and/or seminars to
keep up with the field of early childhood.
We feel that teachers and parents are partners in education. We encourage
parent involvement in many ways. There are several parent programs
throughout the year, and several options for volunteer involvement.
Parent/Teacher conferences are held once a year (twice for the Kindergarten
class) or at any time the teacher and/or parents feel one would be
beneficial. The director and teachers welcome open communication
with parents.
