Welcome to Leo United Methodist Church where we have the aspirational vision of ourselves as building bridges between people and Jesus. You can begin to learn about Jesus from our weekly services, either online or with us in the church where you will be warmly welcomed. If what you hear in service sounds great and you want to learn more, we offer Sunday school classes for kindergarten through adults and other bible studies. We also have opportunities to get to know us better through fellowship and for reaching out to the community.
Leo United Methodist Women strive for supportive fellowship for all women in the church. Monthly Circle meetings are held as social times with program speakers, and they also create and work fundraisers to raise money to support women and children within the community and internationally.
Here at Leo UMC we focus on a different mission ministry each month ranging from hands-on work with residents at Gateway Woods to financial support of Tapio School in Haiti. Serving others is one way we build bridges from those we serve to Jesus, in our community and around the world.
Our worship services are enhanced with different styles of music, including organ, piano, music videos, chancel choir and a worship band.
The human cell has a day job - to make the part of the body it belongs to hum along. It also has a secondary job that is even more important. It replicates itself. Every disciple at Leo UMC has a day job - to learn everything they can to follow Jesus as closely as possible. Our secondary job is even more vitally important - to replicate ourselves by helping make new disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Youth in grades 7-12 meet on Sunday mornings during Sunday school and on Sunday evenings for youth group.
Sunday school is provided for children in Kindergarten through grade 6. Children in grade 2 or older may participate in service as an acolyte. Children's Christmas programs are also held.
Leo United Methodist Preschool is a ministry of the church and a premier preschool in Leo, Indiana committed to providing an early childhood education program that assists children's development. Our curriculum is academic and will prepare students for kindergarten in a Christian environment.
